GRE Fee Waiver

Thank you for agreeing to serve as the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) Fee Waiver Coordinator for your institution.

Click on the links for the GRE fee waiver certificate and the GRE guidelines. The fee waiver certificate may be copied as needed. Financial eligibility criteria and restrictions on the distribution of fee waiver certificates are explained in the GRE guidelines. The only individuals who can be granted a fee waiver are seniors receiving financial aid and returning unenrolled college graduates who have applied for financial aid and have an Institutional Student Information Report (ISIR) on file. An applicant may obtain a certificate only through you after it is confirmed that all three eligibility requirements have been met. The GRE Program requires that a copy of the applicant's ISIR be sent with the fee waiver.

The GRE fee waiver program is funded solely through the test fees of other examinees. If you issue a fee waiver certificate to an applicant who does not fall within the GRE guidelines or if an applicant fails to send their ISIR along with the fee waiver certificate and registration form, the applicant's registration will be returned. If the waiver is not signed and affixed with a school stamp or seal, the applicant's waiver will be returned as invalid.

If there is a change in Coordinator, e-mail address, or mailing address, please send your changes to GRE_FEE_WAIVER@ets.org. If you have any questions, you can also contact GRE Inquiry at 1-866-473-4373.
